Behind all Threads in Coral Studio, there’s a lot of additional context as to how or why the Agents have came to the conclusion that they did, we can inspect this in the Telemetry window. image that clearly defines that the telemetry is being taken from the thread message

Setup

No setup required for this feature, all you’ll need to do is go to any existing thread, select the ellipsis on the top right of a message, and click “View Telemetry”

Why use Telemetry

Insights available for specific messages in a thread depends on the Agent format used, which is derived by the specific AI used for the Agent, for example an OpenAI agent will have different data to an Anthropic Agent, and the details to these messages can be very extensive, the Telemetry window makes browsing this data significantly easier. Data inside these payloads can contain information such as:
  • Agent tooling usage
  • Tooling responses
  • Errors
  • Thread complexity
  • Hyperparameters
Additionally, information on the thread details are also available to view via Telemetry:
  • Temprature
  • Max tokens
  • Preamble
  • Resources
  • Tooling descriptions
  • Agent capabilities

Example

Here’s a video showing what the menu would look like when inspecting a thread regarding a brief search on cats.
